For those of you who update your WordPress plugins regularly, you may be encountering the same issue I’m encountering: Twitter Tools, whcih now requires the pain-in-the-ass Social (brought to you by Mail Chimp, no longer works. Installation and initial setup of both plugins goes smoothly, but trying to add a Twitter profile from the Social plugin’s settings pages results in nothing – either the resulting pop-up window or new tabbed window goes to Twitter, refreshes, then reloads your settings page with no Twitter account shown as being logged in, or the pop-up window/new tabbed window 404s, or even shows your own blog in it. Fail, fail, fail all the way around.
Fortunately, I know from one of my other blogs, That Fat Chick, of an alternative fo Twitter Tools that works quite nicely: WP to Twitter. Setup is similar to that of Twitter Tools, though minus the requirement of using an additional plugin, and bonus: NO fail, and ALL success.
